Hi all, We're absolutely over the moon to announce that Control Surface Studio version 2.6 is released!

This brings a complete overhaul to the Reactions mapping type, now making it an incredibly powerful tool that gives you access to the entire Live Object Model either via our extensive new menu system or (if you're feeling brave) by dropping in code snippets.

Does anyone have knowledge about working with a Linnstrument and CSS? Doesn't seem to work well - colors can't be sent for example.

Thanks

Control current parameter in VST-plugins

When a control is clicked on in a VST-plugin GUI and automation is on the "selected" parameter is shown in an automation lane. Example Serum "A WTPos".

Is there a way to control this currently selected parameter with CSS?

I thought the LOMs selected parameter (song.view.selected_parameter) could be used for this but this parameter only seems to match the currently selected parameter in Ableton devices and the VST-parameters that have been "configured" and is visible in the PluginDevice.

Select & control volume of a track with a SPECIFIC NAME

Hi, nob here, first thanks for making such an amazing environment.

I just now discover the reaction option with CSS and I'm wondering if it would be possible to have the option to select and control volume of a track with a SPECIFIC NAME (ex. "Synth).

My goal is the option to move a track position with the name (ex. "Synth) freely in Ableton and still preserve the assigned MIDI CC control with it. Hope that makes sense.

Any help on how to achieve this is much appreciated.

Thanks!

How to display Ableton track colors on MIDI controller pads?

Hi,

Great to see 2.6 out of beta, thanks for keeping up the development!

Now with the new reactions working, is it possible to send the color of the track in Ableton to a controller RGB pad? I mean, pick up the color from Ableton, not write down manually a matching velocity value.

Im interested in trying out this behaviour but would like to use in reaction; what is the best way to implement? Is there some cut and paste code for it already?

Cheers

Implementing a "For loop" for running values x y z in the reactions

Hey guys,

I'm using all kinds of LOMs actions on the session box, some of which I need to set the same action over and over again and apply it for each individual clip slot,

So I wondered if there's a way to implement a simple for loop that will run the same LOM on all the clip slots that I set with the x y values,
And set it from within CSS so I won't have to change the actual code every time I'll compile the script.

Thanks in advance,
GuyCo

Knobs: Absolut to Relative Conversion

I have some knobs on my controller that I can't change from absolute to relative on the hardware site.

So - using CSS - I would like to map them from absolute to "relative", so I can use the respective Ableton controls in a "relative fashion". (+1/-1) if I turn the knobs a little.

Is there a way of doing it?

I tried:

Using the LOM to grab control from a script

Hi, I’ve made several scripts that have all worked well using CSS, that parts great. My question has to do with using max for live and the LOM to grab parts of my script for use in certain devices. Normally I can grab controls from a script temporarily, on a push 2 it’s pretty straight forward and the controls can be listed in the Max console but when I do the same thing with a script I wrote for a midifighter twister I get a return of “0” controls only component IDs. My understanding is that the controls have to be written into the script in order to show up that way.
