Possible to change color of pads based on which track you are on?

I'm extremely excited about this app and the ability to control my midi controllers the way I would like to . A few questions:

1. Is it possible to switch the pad colors based on which ableton track you are on?
2. Can pad colors be customized based on it's current "hit" state. (for example when a pad is touched it the color switches to a different color).

Thanks! (Sorry if these are noob questions)

REACTIONS: How to force order of execution

Hi John
I have to do a bit of footwork before executing another action. How can one set one reaction to execute before another?

REACTIONS: Scrolling box with folded tracks/relative location of selected track

Hi John
Hey, I am totally stuck...I have everything working nicely except, when there are folded tracks, the box move nicely but the selected track disappears into the folded track.
It could be easily done if I could interrogate the box for the relative position of the selected track (within the box). Im a bit confused by the reactions reference;
Obviously not written for CSS but I got the idea with your other explanations earlier on but...

How to deal with multiple states of Endless Encoders

Hello,

I'm sure there's something obvious I'm overlooking, how do I deal with multiple states of encoders?

Much like the MFT, I have encoders that I can toggle and it will send a CC on either ch1 or ch2.

It seems like the endless encoders can only handle one CC and Channel though... (I guess the controller controls the state of the knob?).

The best I've come up with is to just duplicate all of my encoders? And then stack them?

Something like the attached screen shot... not exactly elegant, but does the trick.

Ok, I have searched all the scripts I could find to get a handle on calling basic edit functions eg cut copy paste etc.
Any ideas?

Finding track index for boxed tracks

Dont know whether Im just tired...but I cannot find the right way to simply extract the global track from the box offset?

ie self.song().tracks[self.track_num(0)].???idx???

Where would I find this?
What Im trying to do is simply test whether the selected track is in a box or not?
I need to know the bounds of the first and last track in the box.

I want to move a box so that the edges of the box will push the selected track/index along ie If a box moves along, it should grab and keep the selected track within the box

DEVICES: Relative controllers with option type targets using CSS track module

I was using the track module in CSS for device controller and it seems great

except

when a relative encoder is targeting an option type parameter eg eg8: eq band 1 on/off is tied by default to knob 4 in 8 knob bank, it turns the parameter off ok but doesnt allow it to turn back
Im using relative 2 compliment ie 1 = left, 127 = right, which under normal circumstances >64 = on, <64 =off

How is this managed so that a left = off, right turn = on?

HELPER SCRIPTS: CSS call in user definitions

Hi John
I guess this is more of a feature request really, but as with many of the manufactures, they make heavy use of Framework. Additionally they include helper scripts that are bespoke and apply to their particular setup set.
What would be excellent, would be a user script where you could add your own objects (or copy pieces from others) the expose methods that are of significance eg
I would like a toggle fold/unfold function for my controller as its essential for my performance workflow.
As far as I can see, to do this (collapse all) requires

CUE: Volume Control

There are no cue volume objects in CSS so I thought I could just use reactions...but I looked through the LOM here
https://docs.cycling74.com/max8/vignettes/live_object_model?q=LOM
and there seems to be no access?
This cant be true because I have used a number of different scripts eg STC where cue volume is controlled.
