Some oddities

Hi John,

unfortunately the CSS is not for me yet due to a couple of oddities. However, I’m sure all bugs will be gone at one point, I really like how all this useful feedback on the forum is finding its way into the application.

I’m glad I can still use the web app as it's already pretty fine for me. Just to let you know here are some things I stumbled upon:

1.
In the Controller Manager, oftentimes when changing the MIDI Channel and Value of a knob via mouse and computer keyboard (i.e. not via MIDI Learn) it will not save this settings. After switching to another menu and back those values are suddenly reverted again to some former state.

2.
Sometimes an element that I add in the Controller Manager (like a knob) will suddenly appear there twice, i.e. suddenly I have two times “Knob 1” which will always be selected together.

3.
This is the main show stopper for my use case. I’m actually using the remotify scripts for some nice LED feedback on the MIDI Fighter Twister. For example, whenever Live goes in playback, the LED bar of the bottom-right knob will blink in the tempo of the song. Also when I perform MIDI overdubs the LED ring of the the top-right knob will turn on, which gives me a nice feedback of what is going on in Live.
For this to work I made a very simple script using your web app (screenshots with settings attached). Now, if I try to do the same with CSS (screenshots attached) it does not seem to work (no LED feedback happening).

I don’t really expect a quick fix here or anything as the use case is a bit special and the web app is working fine for me. I just wanted to let you know in case others are experiencing the same.

Just my 2 cents. Keep up the good work!
Cheers, Axel

Thanks Axel,

'Reactions' will be the new way to add your own custom LED feedback.
I'm currently preparing a tutorial on Reactions in response to http://remotify.io/community/question/reactions

Thanks John! Can't wait to see Reactions in actions (pun intended) :-)
