Reaction to fire clip with fixed length works - but fires immediately, not on beat

So I've set up a few buttons on my MIDI Twister to fire a clip with various fixed lengths: 1 bar, 2 bars, etc. This works but I rely heavily on the metronome and on my Push I'd fire a clip 2-3 beats before the next bar starts to give myself a bit of time to get ready.

Is there a way to fire a clip with reactions the same way? In other words after the button press, I'd like the clip to wait until the next on beat for it to start recording (or fire).

Thanks!

I found that removing the second parameter from the parentheses worked for me. E.g.:

self.song().view.highlighted_clip_slot.fire(8.0)

Above code records a 2 bar clip into an empty, highlighted clip slot. If the song isn't playing, it counts in before recording. If the song is playing, it waits until the next bar before recording.
