I have configured CSS per the install video and all my paths are set up and there. But when I hit the install to Ableton button on that My First script, it does not install it to the location and say "Controller missing"

Please help

I have a similar issue, I have configured CSS and the paths, but cannot install the first script. The error message I get is: "Controller Inputs 'Button 15'' and 'Button 16' for the attached controller have the exact same MIDI data combination (MIDI Type, Channel AND Value) . Please change the settings for one of these in the Controller Manager."

I also can't see any 'ccc.' files in Ableton's MIDI preferences page,,,

It's quite frustrating for a beginner like me, as the videos and tutorials explain what should happen when things are set up correctly, but don't explain how to troubleshoot.

Please can someone help? (I can see no response to this thread in over 2 weeks...)

Hi guys,

There's 2 separate things going on here:
hprieger: have you gone through the configuration step of the step-by-step guide? here: https://remotify.io/product/control-surface-studio/documentation/step-by...

Jabla: The error message is telling you exactly what the problem is. Buttons 15 and 16 in the controller template you're using have the exact same midi data set. Meaning midi channel, midi type and midi value are exactly the same. At least one of them should be different in one of the inputs.
The script won't be generated while you have this isssue as the script will simply break in ableton live.
Which Midi Controller are you using?
