Further to a user request, here is an "in progress" Controller file of the Vestax VCM-600 for import direct into Control Surface Studio.
Status "in progress"
The UI of the Controller is built but now needs all of the correct MIDI Message values putting in to each control.
If someone has this controller (or midi message list) and could update the file then upload it to this thread for everyone, that would be amazing!
Thanks
John

I had missed out a full channel of controls on the first version.
Here is the update.
Thankyou very much John Ill upload some scripts when i get them done
John when making this controller file how do you input button numbers when you have more than 20 buttons? i couldnt seem to add a button number the box stays blank?
Ah yes, the buttons are limited to 20 in the current version.
I have been using a development version and upped the number to 100.
This will be in the next version, hopefully we will release it this week.

Hello Everyone,
Here is the Midi Map of the VCM600.
Hi John, Chriswinn and everbody reading this,
I am glad to hear that there was progress on the VCM600 in 2019. I got one here and try to get into with Abelton 10.
My question: The .json file you attached isn´t accessable within Abelton wich seems to be .pyc files. Does this mean that when I purchase a plan on remotify I am able to load that json into the app to export a pyc file or save it from the app into the Abelton Folder? And if so, should I add then the script in User Surface in Abelton to the existing, or replace it.
Thank you very much in advance!
Cornello
Hi Cornello,
Yes the json file is for Control Surface Studio. You would import it into your copy of the App, then you can build Ableton Live midi scripts specific to the midi settings of the VCM600.
You simply click 'install' in CSS, it will install it in Live and then in Live's preferences you would assign your new script to the VCM600.
I hope this helps :)
John
Good time!
Because I don't quite understand what's going on here)
These files can be flashed VCM600 above for more flexible work in Ableton

With these files above, can I flash the VCM600 for more flexible work in Ableton?
here's an update to the VCM-600 mapping file from Blair if anyone is interested.
awesome work with the layout and all the CC and note values and all the hard stuff
it was confusing me that lots of knobs and buttons had the same name (multiple knob 8 etc)
rearranging was a challenge as I had to work backwards from the end, freeing up higher numbers to be available for lower numbers before I could set them correctly.
after a bit of back and forth, settled on:
channel 1 knobs and buttons are 10-19
channel 2 knobs and buttons are 20-29 etc
for all 6 channels
(there's 8 knobs per channel but 10 buttons, hence starting from 0, so the EQ buttons could align with their knob counterparts but have them all still fit inside 10, so I could remember where I was up to)
the macro knobs are 81-88
the return pans, master cue and master pan and related buttons are 91+
other system buttons and knobs are from 100 onwards
sliders are 1-10
hope this is useful for someone.
Awesome work deadunit!
I noticed a few issues, some CC's / notes are incorrect
not sure if this was an issue in Blair's version or something bugging out with me switching the names around
I'll post an updated version when I've ironed this out
I noticed the same issue with duplicate CC but fixed them manually. I'm having issues with the "Scene" encoder. I added a button so you can select and that works but, I've tried absolute and relative with no luck to navigate.
