ClyphX Session Box navigation breaks on mode change

I'm using CSS 2.5.6, and I'm using ClyphX Pro to move the Session Box in my CSS script around. It works fine, until I change modes on my CSS controller. Once I do that, ClyphX Pro can no longer control the position of the Session Box.

It seems like maybe when I change modes on my CSS controller, that the Session Box in Mode 1 gets destroyed, and a new one is created for Mode 2. Is there something I could do differently so that the original Session Box persists across modes, and my ClyphX Pro script can continue manipulating it across CSS mode changes?

You're correct that the session box is destroyed and re-added when switching modes, there's no way around this unfortunately. Not sure how Clyphx is attaching to the session box, but maybe that can be refreshed somehow when you switch modes?

I don't think ClyphX Pro is exposing anything like that. It attaches to the name of the script, I'm guessing at session load.

On a related note, I have a few functions that I don't want to change with the mode, like a global master volume, stop, play buttons etc. It seems like the only way to have global buttons that persist between modes is to duplicate them in each mode? Or am I not seeing some sort of global button feature?

My hope was that there was a way to make the session box a global item that wouldn't be destroyed each time I change modes.

Could Combination Mode help me here? My thought is to create a second CSS script that only has a Session Box with Combination Mode on, and no modes. And I would let ClyphX Pro control it and move it around. And for my main CSS script that has modes, each Session Box would also have Combination Mode on, and would follow the ClyphX-controlled box around. Would that work?

Yes that's correct.

"Could Combination Mode help me here?"
Yes that could work. As you said, simply create a separate script for the session box (make sure combination mode is on in both of your scripts). As long as the script is selected as 'control surface' in ableton prefs then it will display.
You will still need to have a session box in your other script, make sure it is positioned directly on top.

This worked!! ClyphX Pro is controlling "css_session_box" script > linked with Combination mode to "css_multi-mode" script. ClyphX Pro moves both boxes around, even after shifting modes on my multi-mode script. Great!
